Whelp, my good friend, business mentor, nearly 7 figure earner in Visalus Jennifer May has challenged me. Yup! She challenged me to lose the rest of the 10 lbs I need to lose (just 3 more to go!) ANNNDDDDD build 10 pounds of muscle. I accepted! WOOHOOOO! ……..oh dear.
What did I get myself into?
With Project 10 Challenge, it’s a simple way to get involved to get you back to healthy. Visalus’ super secret statisticians and geniuses alike found that the secret to weight loss is not a magic pill, no not even their delicious shake. But it’s in someone losing their very first 10 pounds. I’ve already lost 38 lbs with this challenge, that was over 2 years ago.
It started off very slowly, because let’s face it, I needed A LOT of help. You can read my full story HERE. But for this post, I am focusing on what I am currently doing. My goal is “multi-fold”. I’m pretty sure I just made that up. I have several things I’m working on and here we go:
1. I need to lose just 3 more pounds so I can enter in Project 10 Challenge. By doing so not only I get an awesome “i LOST it” t-shirt for free that I EARNED (can’t buy it!!) but I also get 10 entries in the hat so to speak to have a chance to win $1000. Yeah, just for losing 10 lbs I didn’t want on my body anyway. SIGN ME UP! But perhaps the more compelling reason for me to finish losing the 3 lbs is so I can help a child suffering from obesity. When I submit my video showing that I lost 10 lbs on Project 10 Challenge, Visalus will give a child in need 30 meals to help them on their weight loss journey. HOW COOL IS THAT?! So I need to do this like yesterday. A kid is waiting for me to do this!!!!
2. It’s about time I build some muscle. Currently I’m about 125, but it’s mostly flab. I know I can get upwards of 130 but with around 18% body fat. Right now I have 24% body fat, no bueno. So losing the fat and gaining muscle will make me one happy mama come summer 2014! Obviously I am happy enough with my body now, and I would go out in a bathing suit. I’m not trying to be picky, but just working on some personal fitness goals that I have. But there is nothing wrong with a little CHALLENGE from my dear friend to look HOT in that bathing suit hehe Thank you Jenn May for that, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
So I got started today, January 14, 2014. I am committing to do this to the best that I can over the next 90 days. Here is what I did:
